    hi,

my brother has an old Ariston Pro2 turntable and has just turned it on to find it spinning at warp 8. :(

the speed adjustment switch doesn't appear to work either.

    anybody have any ideas.

    cheers

Yep try adjusting the pitch control, if its the turntable I am thinking of its a nightmare to adjust and get right. I had one with a sheerwood badge on it and I believe its the same deck, is it the one DJ type one? Mine went back to the shop.

The speed regulation is normaly sorted by the PSU, It could be that on of the components has failed, probably a capacitor. You need to check the values with a meter and replace as required.

How did the move go ?

We're still waiting for a date, but the people we're buying from are having problems. Hopefully be in by 20th sept though, or :JOEL:

my brother lives about 5 miles from you, should I send him round ;) :)

    thanks for the advice
