Turntables And Mobile Phones.

    recently i had a customer complaining about feedback from t/t . odd as i have the same one, hence i went to his place and true to the word FEEDBACK was there , t/t/ perfectlly issolated well set , when i noticed that his mobile phone was placed near his t/t/ when i romeved the mobile problem sorted, any one out there had the same problem?

    Hi,

    what turntable, arm & cartridge was it? What modile phone waas it?

    mobiles are mobiles, as it happens it was samsung and the t/t was and is a pro-ject x-pak ortofon m.c. red rhonda,

    The mobile is much more likely to be interfering with his phonostage than with the turntable directly.

    How exactly are you defining 'feedback'? Because the kind of feedback that a turntable is susceptible to (mechanical) cannot be generated by the presence of a mobile phone (unless it's resting on it and vibrating).

    the feed back amazingly was caused by the mob placed near the near the tonearm and cart, activated but not on line or vivrating odd i thought once removed the feedback or loud boom dissapered, i just wondered if any of had experienced such problem , but as i said problem sorted,

    If the phone has GSM and 3G try using 3G only (if you have coverage).
    Problem could well be sorted. Worked on my noise cancelling phones on the train.
    GSM900/1800MHz interferes with anything it gets close to.
