I have got a Panasonic plasma HD 1080p TV and the mains cable is not long enough. Can anyone tell me if the power cable is any different to HIFI mains cable. I need to get a 21/2 mtr length of something. It's only a TV so I dont want to spend much, perhaps one of you has got a cable for sale. Happy Wednesday.

It would be interesting to know whether the cable merchants think that different mains cables make a difference to the sound and/or picture. If one accepts that mains cables influence hi-fi equipment, then they ought to influence TVs.

I would ask the TV shop.

just go to a hardware store and get some cheap mains cable there...then get an extender type thing to the cable will bolt onto the existing one, then add the plug to the new end... :)

job done - and it'll cost less than a fiver...
