My TV won't switch on at all, there is no power, I have checked the fuse with a multimetre and that works.

I have also checked to see if I get reading when the multi metre is connected to both prongs on the plug and the power is switch on, again no reading.

This means there is a fualt some where inside the TV itself. Could it be a power surge or somthing?

This has come at a time when I am already having to sell my laptop due to really bad finances and my gadget addiction.

Ok now I feel very emberassed I have fixed it.

The problem was I setup a new computer in the corner next to the TV, the plug for the TV must have come loose. At the same time I have a Marantz CD player made by Philips. My TV is Philips, both have identical plugs.

The plug I was convinced was for my TV was actually for my CD PLayer which is turned off. - No wonder I never got a reading.

Its been one of them days.

I did somthing similier the other day, I bought a PIII 733 with 128MB RAM, it needed to be used asn XP Pro IIS Server so it needed 256MB RAM.

I fitted a spare 128MB module I found into it, tried to install XP, kept coming up loads of erros, tried agian same problem, so I then made a new CD, same problem, tried again this time it worked, rebooted the machine crashed. Totaly useless.

I then decided to take the memory out, installed it again worked fine, I then put the memory back in, it crashed again on bootup, luckily I managed to turn of the power before it totaly wrecked the boot.ini file like it did the first time.
