grumble...I was taken by their adverts for broadband for 9.99 a month.

check the website, yes all true, so i try my availability, shock it works and I can get it.

i phone the number and after queing for 12 mins :( I can only get it for 19.99, it doesn't apply

rotten misleading lot, I recommend avoidance with this lot. not happy

What dosn't apply? The £9.99 broadband is very limited, its slow and you have severe bandwidth limitations, I should also imagine the connection ratio is very high meaning you will have to share with lots of other people.

Just out of interest, anyone know which is the best (and best value) braodband supplier?
I've found out we can finally have 512kB broadband, and was wondering if anyone knows what Homecall are like? They do an unlimited broadband including free national and local rate phone calls...

Yep I am and I am planning to change my connection for that exact reason. My parents are paying £28 for a 512kbps connection - they are taking the mick.

I should get at least 2mpbs with no bandwidth limitations for that.

what doesn't apply is that its being sold for 9.99, then you have to go through a big rigmarole to find out you have to pay 19.99.

what's the point? its downright misleading, they should tell people clearly about this sort of shit. Is it any wonder call centre people have to put up with irate customers, queueing for 15 mins then being told this? I am getting more impatient myself.

I bet they are making cash on phone calls, too.

No mine is slow as in it runs at about 200kbps at the best of times and often sits at 56K or lower. Its a bloody sham, they gave me a load of money back but that was before christmas and they still haven't sorted it. I'm trying to get a full refund atm.

It flies and no probs for me for ages ( years !!) from BT Internet...

Yeah my mums supposed to be looking into it. It could be that my router is not reporting the speed correctly. I am sure I achieved a download speed of 110KBs lately which means my connection must be more than 512kpbs if that was true.

Can I just say that I'm a UK Online customer and have been very happy with their service, especially now that they've dropped the price of my 8MB connection to just £29.99 a month.
