Best solution is to use three spikes suitably arranged. Get your drill out if required. This is what I did a while ago. Messing about for hours with four spikes is dumb.

Surely the major point of having adjustable spikes in the first place is to allow to to get a speaker stable and level on an uneven floor?

The best way I've found to adjust them is to get the speaker level using just three of the spikes (I assume it has 4), with the 4th screwed right in, and then undo the 4th until it just touches the floor to prevent rocking.

Homebase or B&Q, concrete paving slabs ! IIRC, 300mm sq are about £3-4 quid each and 600mm sq are £5-6 each

I have been using them for years, they are great. If the florr they are sitting on is a little uneven, you can shim them up with newspaper.

Speakers stand well on them, and the spikes are easy to adjust on them.

I also use one of the 600mm under my rack, and one under the Rel sub.
