Looking for any unrepairable black Cyrus equipment (for the case, so the case must be in a good condition).

    Cheers,
    Richard

LOL, yeah it's possible I suppose, a bit expensive and 'bulletproof' taste in shoe boxes though. Unless your Michael Jackson of course! :D

    Actually I'm thinking of building a VDR box with a mini-itx m/b!

What's a VDR box, Video Digital Recorder ?

I've got Cryus stuff on a hark with a SliMP3, they fit quite well  and the server is running on a 500Mhz Mini-ITX

What spec ITX board were you thinking of using ?

Yep, I will be using the VDR software from http://www.cadsoft.de/people/kls/vdr/ which runs on Linux and requires a fully featured DVB card or DXR3/Hollywood card. As all the work is done on the DVB card the m/b doesn't have to be special (the 500Mhz Mini-ITX is perfect).

Although fitting it all into a Cyrus case will be damm tight! A client/server setup maybe in order.

You might need to hush up the hard disk, if you do check out the SilentDriveâ„¢ Enclosure

I'm in the process of changing my motherboard to the 1Ghz with built in firewire/USB2 and using a laptop hd and an external 120Gb firewire Hard disk.
