    Well!!!

I did it, I blew my wad of cash.

Dont you just love an upgrade day? it beats a birthday or x-mas hands down I reckon!

    Here's what I got...

an HNE AV rack, kindly pointed out by Merlin, and purchased from a nice chap called Tom in Peterborough, who Ive invited to post at ZG.

Heres a picture of what it looks like (not my kit on it unfortunately for me)

    Pretty huh?

Blimey, I hope you didn't have to carry it home. Must weigh a ton.

    Congrats old chap.

yeah, my back is killing me!

built like a tank, each shelf can hold in excess of 100kg apparently..

Fortunately it comes apart, otherwise I wouldnt have been able to move it, period!

have to get the orbe, and all those other things one far and distant day..

Very nice Chris. I wish you health to use it.

Any idea what Tom from Peterborough is going to replace it with?

yeah, he's sinking some granite shelves into a fireplace he is building. This is then going to be covered as part of an AV cupboard as I understand it...

I think the general idea was to get those nasty hi-fi boxes out of sight of the wife, and away from prying kids...

as for me, I favour barbed wire and an electric fence around the perimeter!

I believe omigaaudio offer special audiophile grade barbed wire, and also the highest quality electric fencing available.
