I have MF A24 DAC with NAD C541i and Dynaudio audience 82.

Spending money for which component is better in your idea?

I know some people really like Krells, but surely that's taking it a bit far :D

    amir,
your question can be answered in a milions of ways.

Why do you want to upgrade your Krell?

    why not something else?

The Krells are decent enough ...you don't mention the speakers ?

I'd look to get a better transport , or to the IC's power cables supports and such. These can easily provide you with the extras that your missing IMO.

The weaker units are the NAD and the MF rather than the Krell, but in themselves they are good units at there price points.

Hmmm! Speakers seem to have been mentioned

    A decent subwoofer might help.

Take zanash' comments, adding amp power doesnt necessarily give you what you are looking for. Its possible to gain a much "fuller" sonic experience with the same or fewer watts and decibels that you have already, but with greater fidelity. The results could ultimately *seem* louder.

I realise the Dynaudio's need to be well controlled, but personally I would look into things like power conditioning, mains feed, power cables as a start then move down the chain.

Lots of people on the forum dont share this view. Some would argue you should get your source (CDP) *right* first, other would support the idea of changing the amp so do consider all the views and try to take a balanced view of your own.

However if you are actually happy with the sound of your system but you just want more decibels and better bass power and thwack then I suppose the Krell amp is an option based on what I understand about its qualities (not based on personal experience). The Rotel suggestion is one well worth exploring though - I think you get a lot for your money with the Rotel power amps.

Try not to get too entranced by the Krell brand itself, there are alternatives for fewer "penis" [was that really a sic Cdr Data? ;)] (if budget is an issue).

EDIT TO SAY - incidentally taking your other thread asking about the NAD S500 CDP, dont overlook the NAD S300 (search the forum there's a long thread discussing it) it's supposed to be excellent and extremely good value for money! would partner well with the S500 I suppose.
