A thought : perhaps the User Profile attribute list could be extended to store additional information such as for example -

    Analog Front End(s)
    Digital Front end(s)
    Amplifier(s)
    Loudspeakers
    Miscellaneous Equipment
    Room Size

As a rule of thumb I would suggest adding fields for whatever information tends to be asked for in a thread from time to time.

    All the best - Andrew

Thanks for the suggestion Andrew. I've thought of this myself but don't know how much it would be used and how easily it's done within the vBulletin framework.

At the moment I've got more pressing issues with the forum which I will post about shortly :(

Headfi did it so it must be possible, but I guess judging by the frownie above that there must be some bad news in the pipeline.

HFC did it a few years ago. I think it's much better than listing your kit in "wot u got ?" or "My Kit".

At least the "bad news" isn't so bad. PHEW!

    The "other issue" is this:

...not really bad news but more of a PITA. I know that user profile extensions are possible but I don't know how much you have to "hack" the vBulletin setup. I'm trying to keep the board as standard as possible to make upgrades easier.
