Does anyone know if I can use my 8000A as a phono stage.

I am looking for an 8000S to replace it (to partner with my 8000SX - so let me know if you've got an F series you are looking tog et rid of)

As the S doesn't have a phono stage it seems a shame to buy a phono stage and spoil the 'look#' of the system if the 8000A can do it.

    any thoughts??

Yes, connect the turntable to the component that has a phono stage, and run cables from the tape out on that into a line input on the other component. Voila.

You could try hunting down an 8000 PPA

I believe that was the phono stage if memory serves me right. I think they still fetch a bit of cash though.
