I didn't go because at the time there were decent tickets left sadly I couldn't afford it :(, a shame because I really wanted to see the pixies, and the rest of the lineup was reasonable-ish too :)

A load of my mates went though, and somehow my mate Andy managed to get the bass pedal from the drummer from the Strokes after they'd played :D

I went to the Weston Park on!!!!

This time me and 3 other pals took a caravan for some creature comforts (like clean toilet and shower!).

Overall - nowhere near as good as last year. Probably down to the lineup.
Highlights for me - Massive Attack and Faithless. Actuall thought Pink was better than I expected [hides in shame].

Sunday night I missed lots of bands due to sticking in the red light club having a beer and a dance.

Still, had a good laugh with the boys, got trashed all weekend and spent 8hours getting out on the Monday (oh the joys of going in a caravan).

I will go again next year (I live 15mins from the festival:))

I went to the Saturday at Weston Park. The main reason for going was to see The Pixies, and true, they were the highlight. We left before the Strokes as we were staying in Birmingham and don't much care for them anyway, but had the chance to see full sets from Rooster (an 80's throwback cheese-metal band), Thea Gilmore (who delivered an excellent set including a cover of the Ramone's Don't Come Close after having a pop at the audience for being a little quiet!) and The Pixies. Also caught bits of the Zutons, NERD (Bogawful is being kind), Scissor Sisters, Kosheen, Magnet and the Thrills.

Pixies were awesome, superb setlist including a few rarities and all the greatest hits you could wish for, including electric & acoustic versions of both Wave Of Mutilation & Where Is My Mind. By far their strongest track though was Planet Of Sound, they seemed to go up about two levels for that one!

It's a nice enough venue, but doesn't seem very well set out so there was a heck of a lot of congestion between the two main stages (not helped by 40+ person deep toilet queues and near enough opposite them some greasy burger vans). Something of the festival atmosphere just didn't seem to be there compared with Glastonbury (yawn, you've heard it all before) and other smaller festivals...

Bah you know how to make me regret not going even more! You're right about planet of sound though, everyone I know who likes the pixies will wax lyrical about 'wave of..' and 'where is my mind', and whilst I like them, planet of sound and to a lesser extent alec eiffel are much better tracks :)

I watched the pixies from a distnance with my mates as we were having a bit of a breather after seing so many bands and some serious munchies. I was impressed, but i wasnt all that bothered because to be honjest i know hardly anything about the pixies, i know a few of their songs.

Never really been a big fan of the strokes, but i have to say they were just awsome. I wanted to see massive attack too, but decided not too as it's only one of the original members? What was the setlist like?

The atmosphere at hylands was pretty good, but admittedly not like glasto. I guess i'll always go if there is someone i want to see as its only 15 mins away from me. Just saw some tv coverage and it's shockingly bad, what a load of old toss, full of the most comercially acceptable bands.

I wanted some heavier rock or some metal, which therer wasnt that much of.

Underworld were my favorite last year.
