valve equivalent site

    Hi,

    Anyone got a link to a really good valve equivalent site?

    I've googled a few, but they're not great.

    specifically I'm trying to ensure a CV 372 is a drop in replacement for a 5aq4 rectifier.

    Found this website, which you might need Microsoft Excel to open. Basically it's a spreadsheet showing thousands of valves and their equivalents

    According to the list the CV372 is a Gas Modulator and has equivalents 3C45, BT79 and XH3-045

    The 5AQ4 is described as a Double Diode and has equivalents of CV593 and GZ32

    Heater voltage is 6.3 volts on the 372 and 5 volts on the 5aq4

    Valve equivalents

    Hi Chris,
    Start at Duncan Amps, http://www.duncanamps.com/.
    He has a very good Tube Data Sheet Locator (TDSL) which gives equivalents and near equivalents plus different base types.
