I know this is not a recent film by most people's standards but...
I have recently watched "V for Vendetta" and since I see no posts here on it, here goes one...

I really liked it. Was not expecting much (another adventure americanism around the gunpowder plot) and perhaps because of that it really surprised me on how good it was. It is not a reenactement or story telling around the gunpowder plot treason episode, but a much more modern looking film, that looks at the "herd syndrome" and how easy it is for one to get brainwashed by a "big brother", "for your own good" kind of system.

I heartily recommend it to anyone. No doubt one of the best films I've watched in many months.

Oh so it came from a graphic novel, in the vein of Batman and Superman? Gosh I had no idea! Will look it up as it will be interesting to read it (for me who didn't know about it at all!).
