Verve Master Edition CDs for an unbeatable price

Hi everyone

I just wanted to say that over here you can get the verve master Edition for €6.99 the CD. This is an unbeatable price I believe.
Click "Specials." on the left and then Verve Master Edition.
From another place I bought 50 CDs of the Verve Master Edition and I can say that they a great.
If you are looking for stereo, though, then look at the recording dates. Normally those after 1960 are stereo.

 

That's a very good deal How do those CDs sound, do you have any vinyl to compare them with?

 

Verve were THE label at one time for Jazz (together with Blue Note). SO here you have some of the best Jazz around. Also from the Special area is a 'do you still have a turntable?' and if you go there you get a achance of 60 great lp's by Prestige, Pablo, Riverside, and others for EURO 4.99.

Think I'll have to check some of these out myself.

 

The CDs I've heard sounded very good. Very clear and the separation of the instruments is very definitive, maybe for me sometimes too much. It is a personal taste but I prefer having the instruments closer together in some recordings.
I haven't done a direct comparison LP / CD but again I liked the CD recordings very much.

Ian, you shouldn't have told that about the LPs: now I only hope my order will be processed before yours or anybody elses.
I wonder though how many of those LPs are still available.

 

The recent Prestige/Riverside vinyl reissues are very good VFM but not a patch on earlier pressings. Better than nothing though.

Must check out some of the Verve remasters, some great albums there.

There should be plenty! They have been selling them at that price for ages..I bought a dozen or so about a year ago. I have nothing to compare with as to quality of pressings etc, but they sound fine to me - virgin vinyl for €5 a piece! Delivered very quickly too.
