I'm interested in trying some old Tannoys but havn't a clue what to go for, and more importantly - how much they are worth.

I would never get away with the ugly boxes that these speakers come in, so would either build new boxes or clad them with MDF (painted white with black grills). I'm pretty sure i could make an ugly standmount into a modern'ish, good looking floorstander.

Is there anything on Ebay (or anyware else) worth a punt? I on noticed some Devons and Stuart gold monitors. Are they any good?

I wouldn't want to spend more than £600, but would go a little higher if it was worth it.
