Perhaps a black one with it's paint scraped off sounds even better...rather like that RB300 tonearm :D

It's amazing how quickly such a harsh sounding and generally awful bit of kit sells isn't it ;)

people buy them because of the hype, then realise they are no better or worse than a lot of other kit and then get rid of them again. I wonder what the average length of ownership of the DAC64 is?

    Ian,

Nice one with the 47 labs. Looks cool. ATCs gone, DAC64 gone.....Now there's really no excuse for me not to come over for a listen :D

    Robbo, you bitch. :D

The DAC64's a very nice bit of kit. I actually liked mine. But the lure of ceramic was too strong.

    ian,
you are seriously in danger of overtaking merlin as the resident shiny box slag of the forum.
perhaps you should change your screen name from 'sideshowbob' to 'trisha'.
    cheers

ian, you should have a saki and sushi party :)

I look forward to a listen next time.

NB Have you gone for the 47 labs transport and DAC or just their transport?

It's an ambition of mine. Who the hell's Trisha btw?

Chris, transport + DAC. Came as a pair, oo-er missus. So the Sonneteer CDP will be up for sale too, very soon...

i just picked 'trisha' as a typical chav slapper name. maybe britney siobhan or waynetta cheyanne would be more to your liking?
    cheers

Oh, I see, everyone wants to come over now. Not because I'm such a nice guy with such great music taste, but because of my insanely cool hardware. Bah, b*stards the lot of you.

Didn't you just get that Albert Ayler box set on CD, Ian? Those would make exceptionally good demo discs IMHO.

And I'll bring some Last Exit and 70's Miles. That'll sort the men out from the boys.
