    Hi,
Anybody had a listen to the solista and 300b amps by viva, i keep hearing reliability problems about them, but to look at the design and what i have read on the web they get a golden ear award at Absolute sound mag and a good reveiew with sterophile mag.

    cheers

I've heard Nick's (The Emporium dealer) - this isn't going to be a big help but it was a really BIG sound, huge soundstage - too big for me, enormous - detailed but I mean - BIG! And the tubes - very large - whoppers.

I had a Viva Solista (from Nick) until about 4 months ago - had it for 3 years with absolutely no problems. Wonderful sound and build quality. Just swapped back to transistors for domestic reasons. Not only is the Viva a big sound it is a massive box, so have your shredded wheat before trying to move it. :)

Heard them, lusted after them. :)

Lovely amps, quite a price tag however when brand new.
