Hope someone can help me with this. Whenever I switch my Wadia 6 off at the back, on switching it back on it has muted the sound down to zero. No problem, as holding the volume and max buttons on the remote down simultaneously get it back to full life. Until today, when it stubbornly refuses to leave mute.
Has anyone had thias problem, and, more importantly, what is the solution?

    Many thanks

Good news, it's now OK. Wierdest thing though. I remembered I had a universal remote programmed for it, and thought I'd try that. No volume and max buttons on it, but a mute button. This didn't take it out of mute however.
Loads of other buttons, including a variety of on/off. Tried tham all, with no joy, although some did get the transport stopping and starting.
Then went back to my original remote, an hey presto, it worked. I have no idea why, but for the moment, all is well.

sounds like the reciever chip has problems ...try leaving the unit off over night then unplug it for a bit and start from scratch again.

These things sometimes need to be ineffect rebooted or have there memory cleared.

As it is now working I don't think I'll bother, but thanks for the input.
