Suggestions pretty well as I suspected (thanks for them all)

... but I wondered if someone could think of a top-loader with angled controls on the front so that it may be visible/useable if wall mounted.

I'm quite tempted by an older B&O receiver for wall mount mounting, but can't identify a separate CD player.
