**** me I want one of those big style

I bet it would cost about three times more than my computer kit though.

It looks to be a prototype/industrial design comp type of thing. But if it comes out I would have to guess at least 2k, shurly.

Could have done with something like this years ago when wading through various flavours of APL code for a living.

    From their FAQ:

"It will cost less than a good mobile phone."

...which to me means not more than £500.

There is no way on gods green that they will be able to source over 108 individually sized OLEDs with all the technology required within each key and the processor required to make sense of all that info, and then to case it off like they intend so that heavy handed users don't break things and spills don't break things etc for 500 quid.
Just consider, how will they overcome the keys, what if one needs to be replaced?

I think what will most likely happen is someone else will buy the rights and incorporate say 10 keys with the technology onto a standard keyboard.

Great ideas are always before there time, and I hope I get to eat my words, because I would likely buckle for 500 squid.

Does it have some sort of predictive text capability so as to highlight the correct keys to hit as you type a word?

Touch typists don't need to look at their keyboards ;)

its a keyboard, and what, like thats something new? Bring back the old "clicky" keyboards, they don't make them like they used to, its off "soft" and "squidgy" now, got a 5 year old Cherry keyboard that needs replacing, but can't find anything good enough to replace it, yes I'm a touch typist so I like to feel the key movement, you don't get that with modern keyboards........

It looks very cool and I like the idea of seeing the different weapons for games and stuff but what real use is it? Maybe if you wanted to switch to another language a lot...

If you want a quality keyboard get one from an old IBM XT. I am still using two of them. When the first one I had went wrong, I just lent it against the wall and kicked it as hard as possible, then it would start working! They have a steel back plate and individual switches for every key. Quality :) then again the computer it went with did cost $7,500 in 1983 so you get what you pay for!!! I don't know how people say computers are expensive these days :D

Very cool. No, I don't need to look at the keyboard in games or when typing, but it's damn cool.

Ya those are the keyboards I'm talking about, "quality" keyboards, they don't make them like this these days, maybe I'll do a search on ebay for old XT keyboards! hehe :)
