As per the title i'm quietly (shhhhhhh :D ) on the look out for a pair of Kef 34DS Surrounds to finish off my system.

Black or white not a problem, so long as they are in Ok Cosmetic condition but working 100% fine.

I realise that these only come along once in a blue moon, but if you don't ask ..............

They come up on ebay quite often.

You will need the brackets as well !

Yeah - Thanks for pointing that out - I wrongly assumed they would come with the wall mounting brackets

Just been offered a pair on AVF but buyer wants £320 which IMHO is way over the odds as the whole TDM THX set went on E-bay recently for only £413

great speakers though, my mate uses a set

the "bracket" is nothing more than a lip that the speakers hook onto. you could just screw a bit of MDF to the wall and acheive the same result lol.

That sounds about right, as for the complete package going for just a bit more is normal as well. No body want the fronts or centre, just the rears.

I've got 2 pairs, in black, with brackets, boxed as new. £300 per pair including postage within the UK.

given the posters above message that £320 was waay over the odds for these, i suspect he wont be all that interested at £300.

I think in all honesty, thats just too much for these speakers. Even a well priced set is usually in the £200's on ebay. I know a mate of mine bought a set for £150 in pristine condition.

Thanks for the offer, but i've seen these go on E-Bay for around £150- £200 depending on the condition.

I'm in no rush, so will wait untill a pair come available nearer my buget

I'm negotiable on price, pm me if you're interested. Btw, nice picture of your sub driver, I've got 3 Adire Audio 15" Tumult subwoofer drivers and a K2 amp lying around looking for a good home.

    Regards
    Gary

you cant really use a single dipole for 6.1, the THX spec for any EX based setup is to use two, with all drivers in the setup working in phase with each other, so negative to positive to negative to postive all the way round the rear of the room.

Thanks for that - TBH after watching a couple of films, i think i'll stick with 5.1 anyway

I did have a read up this afternoon with how they worked and did wonder why they were marked up left and right. All now becomes clear and it gives a very clever effect IMHO

Sorry to revive a thread but can I ask why the front speakers arent well regarded? I like the idea of three identical LCR speakers ala THX

The fronts are excellent speakers for movies, but not very musical.

As most people can only have one set of stereo speakers...
