fwiw (I was taught) you shouldn't really dowse for personal gain.

Certainly if you get greedy it interrupts the process.

Ah, I didn't realise dowsers offered their services on a none profit making basis.

Goodness me. Water diviner claims water divining is "not a load of old cobblers". Shurely shome mishtake.

    Water divining 1, "science" 0.

im pretty sure i saw a tv prog where they tested this - and it was proven to be total horseplops. 4 or 5 diviners all failed to spot water at a better than random frequency under a double blind test.

Well thats definitive then isn't it?

Kinda wraps it up sort of.

    ;)

Gentlemen, its a well known fcat that water divining hs been used successfully for 1000s of years.

As to the TV progs, have you ever seen one that wasn't laughable? (or in your own words....horseplop)

Also, if you knew that much about the subject you are so ready to denounce you would know that pschological interference is BIG factor with dowsing. I would go so far as to say that I would be somewhat surprised if this test DID work.

Anyway, as I say I have my own experiences to draw upon (and I wonder if YOU do?). I'm a busy man ...I don't have time for things that are no use. It gets results for me .....well beyond the 50/50 chancethat Bob refers to.

    End of.:)

    Mr.C.....

The first bloke I worked for (a welsh catholic actually) said "you can say you THINK religion is a load of foo but yoiu can't say that you KNOW it is".

Religion doesn't do any thing for me but it does for a lot of people.....brings alot of comfort. So I don't think you can make that statement :).

Its actually a fact (which again I can confirm from personal experience).

I was very glad it found my van keys one morning (before work).

It wasn't at all pseudo then.

    :)

Frankly I'm not sure how you catagorise dowsing.......which is starting to get back to the point of the thread.

As you suggest, I wouldn't call it a science.

Like I say though its been around a lot longer than either of us!

    From Spica's web link

It will allow moving beyond the "glass ceiling" established by the traditional sciences which are controlled by the academic and traditional medical establishments. It opens the door to "truths" which are available to you, beyond what is programmed for you to know.

So a nice foreword by a bunch of nutters then!

    I expressed myself poorly.....

Yes, it is my opinion......+that of the book i refer to (tom graves/dowsing)....recommending techniques.

Its also fairly universally suggested on dowsing websites.

Sorry, THATS not very good buts it more what I meant.

Makes more sense. A fact has to be a proven truth and none of that is.

So the presence of a sceptical mind prevents you successfully dowsing?

How big a clear space do you require? Can I psychologically interfere from my seat here at home?
