    Hi, I am from Prague.
Currently listening to Chinese Vincent S3 cdp, Primare Pre30+ A30.2power amp, cheap noname cable, Czech made Xavian Classic Trionfa speakers /two way DApollito design 55liters of air each, Millenium Excel tweeter, some good Seas midwoofer, very hard to drive, high current requirement/
VPI HW19 Junior turntable, with Denon 160 cartridge

¨LIsten to practically everything. Classical on CD, Dire Straits, Alan Parsons, U2 etc 70s-80s, on TT. Tt currently a bit underused.
the primare were bought from the UK, via EBAy, with 40percent off... thinking of ATC in the future, scm35 perhaps? to date, always preferred smaller to medium sized floorstanders.
thinking of going either for a 3 way smaller speaker, like atc or Audio Physic, or abandoning my distrust of monitors.
I consider selling the tt, sadly, it cannot be made, economically, it is not worth it.
    regards
    Alex nick Coolguy, Prague :)

    Hi Everyone

I've been reading the forums for a fair while now, gaining much knowledge and many laughs along the way - some members do take things really seriously - not that there is anything wrong with that.

Currently in the process of moving house and don't have a proper system at the minute though I'm hoping to sort out a CD player with the wadiameister in the very near future.

Had loads of gear over the past few years, my best setup consisting of:

Wadia 21 CD Player (oh how I regret selling it :( )
    EAR 864 Preamp
Audion Silver Night 300B Pushpull monoblocs
    Living Voice Avatar Speakers
    Clearligh Aspekt Rack

My most recent setup which I sold a couple of months ago due to the house move consisted of:

    Teac VRDS9 (as transport)
Monarchy Audio DIP Classic (great bit of kit if you use a DAC)
    Musical Fidelity Trivista DAC
    EAR 869
    Red Rose Rosebuds
    REL Strata III
    Solidsteel Rack

Hoping to attain that sort of quality again (though hopefully more cheaply :) ) over the next few months.

    hi all

actually lurking here for few years (started from hi-fi choice forum, then joel's groovehandle if i remember correctly), must say that this is one of finest places along pinkfish and tnt-audio to visit
my system consists of italian made fase laserdrive 1.0 cd player (not widely known brand, to say at least, but very fine piece of kit), densen beat b-100 amplifier with mm phono stage (no need to comment on this, i think :) ) and tannoy profile 633+ speakers (for unknown reasons very underrated speaker from known manufacturer), other bits are some sort of supra/qed/oehlbach wires, technics rs-az6 cassette deck (poor-man's tri-head :) ), rotel rt-950bx tuner and a project debut II turntable
about music - there is no main genres to name, as i listen to all good music which i can get, but mostly indie/electronica/ambient/dub/world/jazz but those preferences changes by time

Hello all, I joined as soon as I discovered this site. I run a NAS Interspace with Boston Audio 1 mat, a Rega RB250 with Incognito wiring and a Grado Gold cartridge, preamp by VanAlstine, Robertson Audio 4010 amp and Tannoy 12in Monitor Golds in an Altec-Lansing Santana cabinet. I am a longtime member of Audio Asylum and Audiogon, and usually lurk due to time constraints. I'm happy to be here.

    Hello
As to my kit, well having recently moved back from Oz and having to leave all my Cds and Vinyl there I now have two systems oone based on my lovely Shuttle computer, lovingly called Zen with a Monitor Adio 1010 delts sound system, quad FM 3, quad 303, a temporary Cambridge amp and AE 120 speakers, most listening on this system by headphones akg and sennheiser 212s. Main system for listening to newly purchased Cds Marantz CD 63 SE, Tag MacLaren Preamp, Elac Jet speakers, Bi amped Quad 405 (Upgraded) for low frequency and two Marantz MA500 for the high frequencies.

I listen to a variety of music but at the moment interested in Jazz trios and quartets. Jacques Loussier freaks me out

    Welcome!

I hope you find enlightenment and audio nirvana within this forum. I doubt it though...

It is nice to have some new people.

Did you mean M-Audio Delta 1010?

    Hi from Blackburn, UK

    Hello to everybody

Just registered here, and it looks a lot of fun!, lots of interesting debates.

Details of my elderly system are as follows:

    Marantz CD-94 mk1
    Marantz PM-94 Digitals (two of these I have a mk1 & mk2)
Linn Keilidhs (with old tweeters & Ku-Stones), passive bi-amped using PM-94's
Technics SL1210mkII & Ortofon Concorde Night Club
    Sony TCD-D3 DATman
    Marantz SD-60 cassette deck

QED Qnect 4 interconnects & QED Silver Anniversay speaker cable.

My music tastes are quite varied, I love Rock, old Stranglers, The Who, Floyd, The Doors etc. House, Disco & Funk. Electronic & Pop, New Order, Joy Division, Smiths. Indie, Happy Mondays, Primal Scream. Punk, PIL, The Damned, The Cult. Plus lots of stuff in between.

No doubt lots of people would advise me to get rid of the SL1210 however, I use it for playing dance 12" records which it suits fine. For serious listening I use the CD-94.

I've been reading quite a bit about valves and am pretty convinced I am going to take a shot at a WAD integrerated 6550 at some point in the future, not sure if it would work OK with the Keilidhs though.

    Cheers

    welcome Brams.

Unfortunately WAD have recently been taken over by a new company, and it looks uncertain at this stage whether they will be doing kits again. The company that owns them seems more into selling speakers.

You may want to look at http://www.diyhifisupply.com/diyhs_ella.htm or one of the other kit manufacturers for a 6550 based kit.

    Cheers
    Chris
