Heaps more dynamic than the linn pre powers i used , cleaner and sooo much clearer, better bass, stunning midrange and clean, clean highs The first thing i noticed was no bass overhang whatsoever and total lack of sibilance, but sooo much more open than i have ever heard before. soundstage deeper and far wider than anything i`ve ever wish to have hoped. All in all, i am chuffed to bits. If anyone is in doubt about changing from a tranny to a valve amp, I say just go for it, the difference is spectacular!! Does nitin sahawny (sp) absolutely superb, roger waters and floyd sounds fab , jazz is great, and female vocal is superb. even if i had paid the near 3 grand retail for this, i think its cheap for the sound quality on offer. For the measly £500 i paid, i feel as though all my xmas` have come at once for the next ten years! 35w per channel, but somehow sounds like 235w. loads more dynamic than all previous tranny amps, inc the 2 lk280`s i used previously. to put it bluntly, the TT makes all my previous amps sound "broken" if you know what i mean? I`m just about to clean it as there are my fingerprints all over it, but its in mint condition and came with 8 matched new sovtec valves, all ready biased for use. I really am a happy bunny. cheers. :)
