    I have a real problem!

A Blue Tit like the one above (library photo) keeps landing on my windowsill and pecking the s**t out of my window.

He/She also flies at the window aswell.

This determined bird has been banging on the window of my kitchen, every few minutes, every day, for about 4 months.!!

Just in case we have closet 'twitchers' or whatever the term is for bird lovers...

Whats the best solution, other than popping a cap in its ass from a borrowed airgun? ;)

Borrow an air rifle and shoot it.

get a milk bottle and replace the aluminium cap with a 1/4 inch steel one. he won't be pecking your windowsill after he's had a go at that:D

I thought about getting a mains cable, and stripping the live wire back to the metal...zig zagging it across the window... and plugging it in...

I feel like chicken tonight, chicken tonight...

Buy one of those clear plastic bird feeders that stick on windows with round sucker pads - they're fairly cheap from most garden centres, and, provided you put food in it, may give the little fella something nicer to peck at.

    Goomer,

Yes that's a bit better than the shoot it/electrify it option. Our wildlife has a hard enough time of it as it is ... except for bloody pigeons of course (but I think that's another thread :) )

So you want neither a tit nor a little pecker - what do you want? No, seriously, maybe it sees its own reflection and thinks there's another bird on its territory. Other than to render the window unreflective or perhaps very dirty I can't think of another answer, but if you see the reason, perhaps you will find something yourself.

A lot of birds die from simply flying into windows they don't see at all. We have large windows and had this problems until we hung little glittery things on mobiles on suckers in front of them. Maybe that would help.
