what pvrs/dvd players...?

My sister is after a pvr/dvd recored combo.....whats hot and whats not these days?

Any ideas out there?

No idea what's hot but I have a Panasonic 250GB HDD/DVD recorder which I'm very happy with, except a couple of minor niggles.

Details here, I think this is the same model.

Just not clear if it has adigi tuner?

Also what are the write speeds to DVD?

ie better than real time?

It has a good DVB tuner. The write speeds are quoted in the specs in the link I posted above. I've so far only recorded to HDD, so can't comment on DVD recording.

Hi DavidF, The Panasonic is the way to go. Prices start around the £250 mark.

what i should have done ally instead of the humax pvr (good though that is) and humax dvd rec combo (not an ideal arrangement)
