OK, I'm forever being linked to snake-oil and little green goblin's that sprinkle foo-foo dust on over-priced components :p but my avatar name actually has nowt to do with hi-fi and more to do with music and James Bond.

"Voodoo", the second album from D'Angelo, is the real reason for one's handle. That and the only decent "Roger me Moore" Bond Film.

So is 'Tones' a reference to a lack of hearing ?
We all know 'Wadiameister' can't get enough of the big, black, digital stuff !
'Gambit', you're not one of the X-Men in your spare time are you ?

That's exactly where it came from, Remy being the coolest of the said men of X. It was an on the spot descision some 2 years ago when registering on another forum, and it's always been my "tag" since then. That and throwing cards at people, to their general annoyance.

I'm yellow and have an irrational loathing of anybody called Bart, so it seemed appropriate.

    erm......I like Cookies.....

    .....soaked in human blood.

I bear no relation to my can dwelling namesake in Sesame Street.

Most people seem to think my 'real' name is a 'handle'. Which means i can remain anonymous all the time.

Beelzebub was a nickname given to me (behind my back) by a junior doctor who I was attempting to tutor in the ways of righteousness, or alternatively, being very pedantic with. She also called me a 'Nazi'.

When I found out, I was rather amused, so I've kept him.

Err...my first name is Michael...and my middle and last initials are A and B hence michaelab :) It's useful as so far that name has always been available to me on every site I've been to. The downside is that everyone thinks my name is Michael Lab

    Michael.

Mine comes from a poster that I have of a Spanish(I think) cartoon character which a friend gave me because of it's closeness to my surname.

I think she also found the characters' sub-title quite amusing:

"Goomer. He's an intergalactic space truck driver".

    I wish I was.

I've always pronounced it Michelle (in a crusty French tongue) Ab (as in abdominals) in my head for some reason. 'Michelle Ab'.

My name (Dev) by contrast has never been available on any site that I've tried except ZG and HFC. grrrrrrrr:mad:

It must be one of the commonest words in most Mainframe and UNIX machines, seems to crop up all the time.

I tend to use either Smith, Taylor or Davies dependent on mood. My 'real' surname is unpronouncable, and nobody has ever managed to spell it successfully.

Nothing of interest on how my username came to be. My first name plus the initial of my surname name. But it also happens to have been the user network loggin ID of virtually most the places I've worked at, so an easy one to remember for me.

My avator is (of course) Rowlf the brilliant piano playing dog from the 70's kid's TV show The Muppet Show - it was one of the default avators available over at the HFC forum which I liked so it stuck. :D

Many years ago NME reviewed Gorky's Zygotic Mynci's Bywd Time claiming that no-one had ever heard of them except for space cadets...

Oh, and I came to earth from Planet Gong in a flying teapot!
