John Eliot Gardiner - Kyrie from Bach's Mass in B minor (1984)

Karl Richter - Kyrie from Bach's Mass in B minor (1969)

John Eliot Gardiner - Kyrie from Mozart's Great Mass in C minor

Edgar Krapp - BWV 552 - Beautiful playing. I like that he takes the first section of the fugue on the slower side.

There’s something odd about the leading edge of notes on some of the stops. Particularliy evident in the first four bars. Over close microphone placement maybe, too often the case with organ recordings, an environment with very little reverberation or both .

A few minor technical faults but if these four stay together for a few more years they’ll be worth following.

What are those bells doing there between the first and second piece? Makes no sense.
