What's the use for speakers?

    My wife came up with a good one this afternoon. We were having coffee in the living room and she was sitting right at the sweet spot (my usual place) where she hardly ever sits. We had stereo FM radio playing. Then she says:

    "What's the use for these huge speakers on both sides since the sound comes from the middle anyway" :confused:

    Good old female logic.

    Your task for the day Sir Galahad is to explain so she understands.

    I've tried on numerous occasions to explain about many things hifi but my other arf still dont get it.

    Odd fact is that her ears are more sensitive than mine, she can pick out differences between different peices of kit better than I can.

    A good question.

    I thought it was just a gimmick for doubling Seventh Veil speaker sales. :)

    As for Home Theatre - best thing since sliced bread. ;)
