    I'm a Midlander, Wolverhampton to be precise. Where do I fit in with the adopted scale? At uni we've had the north/south argument, to me anything south of Birmingham counts as south, so therefore I'm a northerner...

    I'm West Midlands too, though more yer rural idyll than Black Country industrial heartlands!

    I lived in London for 17 years (in West Kensington, Putney, Harlesden, East Ham, Victoria, Maida Vale, Vauxhall and Willesden, so seen most of it!), and dread the idea of ever having to go there again. Having so many folks un-naturally crammed so close together does something bad to their brains, only those with a complete f*** you mentality thrive there (and I know because I used to have it, I was a cycle courier FFS!)
