    Dear folks,

I was wondering if someone could help me where I could buy 2nd hand stuff like:
michell alecto monoblocs, pink triangle cd player/dac, dpa cd player/dac, eikos cd player?
<< my system consists of: pioneer cd player, E.A.R. 834L pre-amp, bryston 3B-ST amp, and Harbeth Compact 7 sitting on target stands. I plan to upgrade the system, but would love to retain my E.A.R. and Harbeths. >>
Any of your suggestions is warmly welcome. thanks.

    Regards,

    J.H.

Emporio HiFi used to have a pair of Alectos (MkI I think) for sale. Might still have it... they also have a lot of vintage and good valves stuff so it is worth having a look there always.

Retro HiFi in Scotland is another port of call for these kinds of things.

Why the Pink Triangle CD? Unless you need it for pieces there's no way it will sound good by today's standards of quality reproduction.

Ah ... dpa - my second favourite thing!!There's some dpa kit on ebay at the moment but the bidding is a little high, perhaps because there's not been much deltec stuff auctioned lately. IMO I'd purchase a DPA DAC but not bother with the transports - I've had a T1 (not impressed, a Marantz player in a dpa box - honestly) and the last of the enlightenment transports (24bit non - VRDS) for which there's a spares problem ie none!! If you go for an E-DAC make sure it's had the power supply mods to prevent overheating. This is not a problem on the pdm or little bit dacs.

    Thanks for the website, Baudrillard.
Is there any other online stores that sell "vintage" or "old 2nd hand" electronics? (i.e. micromega, pink triangle, dpa, audio innovations, etc.)
    Your help is really appreciated.

    Cheers,

    J.H.
