I was doing some interconnects plumbing last night and was wondering whether it might be nice to change for another rack. Don't really know why, mine is fine, just may be fancied a change.

My TT, CD & DVD are on seperate Target wall shlves, whilst all the remaing is on a Target AER6

I was just wondering what else is about and what any of you use.

BTW, Who uses TT dust covers ?

I previously used QS Reference shelves but found my current kit to be relatively unfussy about audiophile supports, so bought a pair of Ikea Corras as a stand-in whilst I decide what to do next (QS Ref is nearly sold). It lives under the window by the cd cupboard in our front room. I don't use a TT dust cover though I do use the Nottingham ANalogue 'flat LP' that came with my deck to keep the dust off the exposed platter, and also I always put the stylus guard on the Helikon when not in use (but mainly so that I don't have to worry about our cats killing it!)

Here's the only pic I currently have handy:

Stacked on top of each other in an av cabinet! The tt is on top of some drawers with a DIY isolation platform underneath.

I have just today finished work on 4 Rega (not Target as mentioned earlier) wall shelves, on which all my equipment is sited.

    I use the Michell Unicover.

I have 2 5 tier racks and every shelf has something on it. Had an Ixos deadrock since I started in hifi and recently added a Soundstyle st105 rack.

My lcd tv sits on the top of the soundstyle. Having 3 amps is a bit of a pain which is why I decided to get a 2nd rack cos tt psu and phono amp/psu couldn't fit on just one rack and was having to use the window sill.

TT sits on a **** wallshelf and I too use the Michell unicover.

I have a m.a.n.a 4 tier with ref top stand sat upon 2 soundstages.

    Big toothy grins all round.

No tt dust cover - I use a Liberace album to keep the dust off the platter.

Technobear, I assume your LACK rack's spike arrangement is a personal modification?

...as is the unconventional length of the legs ;)

Naturally! They are made of a special hi-tech nano-polymer crystalline ceramic material that absorbs deleterious vibrations and RFI, enhances timing and musicality, and hides the ugly black box that is my isolation tranny :D

    They most certainly are.

I have done lots of hifi changes lately.

    Only 2 things have survived.
    The LP12 & the Castles. :D

    Midlifecrisis,

Take a look at my system pics here:-
    http://photobucket.com/albums/y76/crystalref/

Although I have a carpet covered concrete floor, I noticed significant benefits by replacing any spikes (rack, speakers, sub etc.) with Finite Elemente feet. You will see that I have the Cerabase feet on the bottom of my HNE rack. I have also added them to both main speakers and put 4 X Cerapucs under the REL Stentor III (must update the photos!). It may be worth trying if you have a suspended floor!

Here's my setup. Units are separated by solid glass cylinders for extra ventilation. Not very nice, but system is partly masked by a couch. WAF rules.

Mine sits on a desk from B&Q. Speakers are raised slightly off the desk using felt pads. This has reduced a bit of a nasty bass boom. Next tweak is an Argos chopping board for TT isloation and also a new Cambridge Audio 640P phono stage to replace the cheap B-Tech that is standing in for my dead Phono Box.
