IMO the new tubed kits of today [ the ones Iv'e heard, many ] seem to have lost the meat on the bones so to say. Could it be that the designers quest for neutrality has resulted in a thinning and over detaling of our beloved music.
Don't misunderstand me here I'm not saying tubes need to be overly colored rich or syrupy. Just not threadbare.
    Any oppinions ?

    Hi Rollo,

How about giving some examples? I have heard many kits in my time and there can be a big difference in sound quality.
