Why are low level speaker stands so difficult to source?

    Hey folks

    I've been searching for some 30cm high speaker stands for about 5 weeks now. Thought I'd nailed it when I found and ordered some Apollo AZ 30cm stands from Superfi late November. However its now the middle of December and I've rang them up only to be told they don't hold stock and I'm at the mercy of the manufacturer. When quizzed about potential delivery dates I got an answer that pretty much said "how long is a piece of string?". Really wanting to sort something before Christmas so canceled my order.

    Can anyone please point me in the direction of some sturdy 30cm high stands? Maybe even another supplier of the Apollo AZ, which really looked ideal.

    Look at Target stands. They have some extremely sturdy ones and get be purchased online!

    What about Atacama SL300 - pretty sturdy looking beasts and come in at around £90.

    A google search returned Superfi for them but they are widely stocked so you should be able to find someone with them in stock.

    I thought Target went out of business a couple of years ago?

    They did but the brand was bought by Roksan and they are back in production.
