I guess I'll just have to return the compliments Joel but calm down or you'll give yourself a heart attack. For your information, I made no crass jokes, only statements. Secondly, I made no mention of Groovehandle (GH) but you can check my posts on this thread. Sideshowbob mentioned Groovehandle (GH) not me. I realise we both like jazz but how could you get us mixed up like that?:D Once again, calm down Joel, it's only an internet forum and not worth getting upset over..;)

Just for the record Joel, can you give the forum an indication of my high income level (such figures are easy to remember) and my jet-setting lifestyle? It should be easy to dig-up my previous posts should it not. Also, assuming I made such statements, what's that got to do with the topic at hand. Boy, you do sound upset.:) It's amazing what upsets people, eh.:D

    Enjoy the music,

    Lawrie.:D

    Merlin,

You still don't get it do you? You are at the centre of what Lamboy is complaining about not me. I've only just arrived. Your role on this forum is to wind up people and then encourage others to turn against that person. Strangely though, it works. I have seen it on several threads in which you have been involved. You really are a nuisance on this forum and many other users know it as well.

You've had arguments with so many people in and outside of the forum that if people on here are honest to themselves, they would be questioning your motives on here. What I don't get however is why the Moderators allow you to do what you do but if someone else says something, he is branded as having an agenda. WM makes a comment, no one says anything. I agree with his comments and then I become the fall guy. Get a life, will ya!

    Enjoy the music,

    Lawrie.:D

Spot on and you can lay the blame for that squarely and fairly at Merlin's door. This has been his trademark all along and many have been at the receiving end of that. Again, what do the Moderators do when they see him in action? :( Instead, some poor soul gets the blame for starting the problems.

This point always pops up from some of the windup merchants on here. Like nothing on the internet means anything. Its a discussion, a conversation, of course it means something. Just because its typed doesn't make it much different from any other conversation you have in your day.

If you piss someone off on here you're going to get peoples backs up. Don't just play the "Calm down mate, don't have a heart attack" card. If you offend someone during the course of a conversation, you apologise. If you don't you lose friends and risk a battering. Its the same here.

Its the worst kind of joke. I'm sure we all knew a dickhead at school who would wind people up and then say
oh yeah...looks like it was you lawrie. Grow up mate.

Please don't. It's irrelevent, just like this thread has become :( . Why not just let the past stay in the past and try to improve this forum.

BTW, apart from some wars we've had recently, which I believe perhaps could've been controlled through greater moderation (I suppose that has it's own problems), I don't think this forum has gone downhill. I like this forum. It's fun. I've met some very nice people with similar interests through ZG. All I say is Michael, don't listen to them, keep up the good work.

Agreed, Dev but as Joel had something he wanted to share with the forum I thought it would be best, if he had the evidence at hand, to do so, hence my comment. I really don't have a clue what he's going on about.

Also, I can't for the life of me figure out why my comments incensed the man so much when people have said worse but no one batted an eyelid. I have never even had an argument with the guy? Man, forums are funny places aren't they?:D

    "War
    It's nothing but a heartbreaker
    War
    Friend only to the undertaker
War is the enemy of all mankind
The thought of war blows my mind
Handed down from generation to generation
    Induction destruction
    Who wants to die"

Well...I never knew this was a springsteen tune. Come on Lawrie man its nothing but a heartbreaker. Anyway...its only an internet forum man, why you wasting your time on this thread!? You should be out kissing wabbits as your obviously such a peacemaker..

I'm not in least bit angry, Lawrie. Maybe I should have sprinkled some smilie sedatives, but that would have defeated my purpose, which was to wind you up.
Your inital comment was bollocks, BTW.
The GH db was erased long ago to protect the guilty and hoodwink the innocent.

Seems like a Klingon Boarder squrmish just broke out here.
In one form or another, we all contribute to Z/G, it wouldn't Z/G other wise, the wise cracks, holyier than thou attitude, one upmanship, serial willy waving, stand wars, Jovy style preachings on equipment, snidey quips. The weath of information, genuine interest, advice and off forum interaction,Friday afternoon entertainment.
Z/G is the whole melting pot, not just 5 or 6 members, we are all responsible for its upkeep and health, so does a dose of the clap now & again spoil things badly? or just shake up the establishment?
Hifi is/can be an anal/dry/geeky thing, so Injecting a spot of humour from time to time, proberbly does raise the odd smile.
Everyone will never agree, buts thats the bottom line, if we did Jeeze! they'd be a large queue for NHS thick rims at the opticitions stretching for miles.
I also Feel Joel did a cracking job with GH, which turned into Z/G and its nearly 2 years on, so there must some thing in the formula. Wm

Springsteen covered it; I have a maxi single which is so heavily compressed the tune (which plays off the singer/chorus interplay) makes little sense at all. The much better original is by Edwin Starr.
