    James,

good to see you in defensive mode :D

Avoid answering pertinent questions by posing another unrelated one - helps keep the capsule intact I guess ;)

What do you expect when a load of people who haven't heard my system start telling me what they think it sounds like?

You really think you are so clever, don't you?

Which studios use ATC subwoofers? List them.

And of course you never advise people of the probable defects in their setups devoid of anything glassy or steely :D

That's because I've heard precious few off Mana which sound acceptable. And I've heard a lot of hi-fi in the past 22 years.

    James,

Still mumbling about your lack of bass?, understandable really, but such entrenchment in public does you no favours at all. Which is a shame, because underneath the self deluded bubble, your a pretty decent bloke.

I would keep quiet about my lack of bass if you value your credibility. Even AK didn't criticise that.

I should imagine that their studio is bigger than my room. And their budget for speakers. What do you think, Merlin?

I don't mind long lists, let's have the rest. Or is this another one of your lies, like when you claimed that a lot of people on this forum had abandoned Mana? It turned out to be two people.

Room size in this instance if of little importance James, although I doubt the mastering suite is much larget than your front room. It's about filling in the bottom octave -something the ATC's simply do not do and are not designed for.

As for the Mana, well let's see...... Me, WM, Lee, Tones....... shall I go on  I'd have assumed someone with a doctorate would be reasonably proficient in maths.

My maths is good enough to realise that four people is not 'a lot'.

Before you speculate any further about my system's lack of a bottom octave, come and listen to it.

I've put together, with help from many friends, what is to my ears one of the best systems I have ever heard. It exceeds expectations every disc. It keeps you up all night listening to music.

That is what it's all about.

    James,

Depends purely on your you as a reference, and my credibility, I'm touched James, you have my interests at heart.
However my "credibility" as you put is judged by results we obtain with clients systems, that is for them to speak about. not moi, but again your concern is most pleasing cheers

Your clients are blinkered fools, in my opinion. You have absolutely no idea what constitutes a good sound.

Actually I did not include the likes of Mick and some others, but please let me know if there are more current Mana users on the forum that former ones.

James, it's only you who took my comments re bandwidth limitations to be in reference to your precious. Smacks of insecurity and IME such an affliction usually has a sound base.

I use platinum cables. Mick Parry uses Mana speaker stands.

I have no insecurities about my system. I wouldn't invite you if I did.

Trying to ridicule me smacks more of insecurity. You'll be calling me 'bubbit' soon. Oh no, you've already tried that.

    James,

one of these days you will realise it doesn't have to be Bub Against The World and you will realise that assimilating experiences and testing advice is both rewarding and productive.

Until then, I don't really see the value in continuing dialogue.
