Why are there NO dynaudio dealers in the south within a reasonable distance of me!

The whole of the rest of the country seems to get them!

Audio T is the primary dealer? and the one in Brentwood, Essex does'nt stock them, the same is true for the one in tunbridge wells, Kent and there is no dealer in Suffolk either for instance.

Is it unreasonable to expect a dealer in three counties

There must Be some kind of franchising issue with another brand or something ?? Why can't audio T sell Dynuadio?

Im just getting a little restless about it, because i think Dynaudio could have just what im looking for, But i can't Actually HEAR any!

Are people in my area, simply not discerning enough or something!

    rant over...

I just don't really think i should have to go to london. I dont know london that well and its all more hassle than i ncan do with really. Might have to make a trip and do some other things though i suppose.

Rayleigh dont they are really clsoe too, the do Totem though=quite interesting and PMC. We have sevenoaks, richer sounds, hyperfi, Audio T and countless other independant shops.

i might ring Dynaudio and see what they say, its not as if there is a shortage of outlets. If audio t can sell in other locations, why not brentwood?

i just think its pathetic though, i dont understand why.

You might well find that Audio-T will "lend" a pair to one of their other branches for an audition. Hell, its a potential sale for another branch of theirs!

Audio T have some clearance deals on the older versions and B grade stock of Dyn Contours. The web site says they'll transfer stock to your local branch too. Seems pretty fair to me.

yes, that might be a possible line of attack. I don't want to get too commited yet however, I can afford some if i sell my existing speakers afterwards, but i want to consider all of the options.

Would i be wrong to feel guilty if i asked them to "lend a pair" to the closest branch to me and i then didnt buy them.

Surely its my choice, but i don't like to muck people about, maybe im just too polite.

Im interested in, surprise surprise the contour mk2 1.1 and 1.3.

They are not biwirable, and so i will not be able to use my current biamped config. I have an alpha 10 integrated and Alpha 10P. Id like to bridge them really(i know dyns like power!), but as far as i can see its not mentioned in the manual.

Would it cause damge to bridge them??? sounds a bit dodgy if they were not designed for it.

Otherwise I can sell the power amp, and the resultant combo should be better than the Tablettes i guess?

    Any thoughts Guys???

Be honest. Tell 'em you're considering an upgrade and Dyns are on the short list. If you like them then there's a good chance they'll get the business.

£650 for the best standmounts ever made (hint: I own a pair :D ) - now that's what I call a bargain...even though I only paid about £600 for mine nearly a year ago :MILD:

Mike, if you like the 1.3 II, you really must hear the Special 25. Everthing you like about your present speakers is increased by a factor of 2, the mild aberrations are much reduced. It even is easier to drive.

might be able to get some 1.1's for £400 which would seem to be pretty good value. I have a very samll room at the moment and ive got the little MJA sub anyway.

Can't stand the look of the new contour/confidence range, i can only hope that they look better in the flesh and of course sound fantastic.

I heard a pair of Special 25s shortly after I got my 1.3MkIIs (the guy who I bought the 1.3MkIIs off upgraded to Special 25s allthough he then swapped them for some Craffts) and I agree with you.

Shame about the price though
