I am suffering from a major bug of buying stuff out of the blue, I bought a DVD player yesterday, on looking at my bank statement yesterday I might end up having to sell all my DVD discs just to fund it!

My software package which was supposed to make me rich as flopped, I can't do many leaflets in this weather so I am not earning much atm, and I have my holiday in two weeks time. I still couldn't resist buying that DVD though. Oh well in two/three years time when I have to pay my student loan off and I wonder where most of that £12,000k went I shall cry. Actually I'm doing a a placement year so I should be pretty straight if I can pay of my loan then. Sorry to woffle but now you see why I am selling my cassete deck which has not been used for months. :) :p

Unfortunately, rightly or wrongly, cassette decks have almost no value at all at the moment. I've adopted the policy that they're one of the those things that you may as well hang on to as opposed to try and sell for anything lke reasonable money.

Will you get 30 quid? I hope so, but I wouldn't stake my (insert anything of a value of over a fiver here) on it. A Nakamichi Cassette Deck 2 took over 24hours to go on ebay with a Buy It Now of only 85 quid yesterday. I remember when they were hotly fought auctions making 200 + a year or so ago. The highly acclaimed Dolby S equipped Sony TCK-611S only seems to go for 50-60 quid at the moment.

    Good luck.

    Cheers

I can do you a better cassette player cheaper !

It has a fault ...not effecting the performance
I was going to fix it but just can't be bothered !
The auto tape selector pegs that switch between chrome normal and metal are missing, so its a just a question of making some more [shaping a match stick] or routing to a manual rotary switch on the front panel.

    Was originally about £300

    Denon DRM12hx £15 plus pp [about £12]

The unit is about 10 years old and little used.
