Only at shows, generally in otherwise unfamiliar systems. They look well made, and the arms look interesting. Not sure what sort of upgrade path they offer, if any.

I notice that Walrus have finally updated their secondhand/exdem page at http://www.walrus.co.uk/ and have an armless Amazon Model 1 for £950, which is a seriously good deck at a very hefty discount (RRP is around £2.5K IIRC). If I was looking for a TT that's the first thing I'd be having a look at.

Its certainly rather fine looking deck for £950 notes and if Walrus stock it it can't be bad. Those guys don't stock rubbish generally speaking.

    Hi

I have heard one of this deck a few times. Quite pleasant sounding but can be beat for the money. Last time I heard one, it was against a Avid Diva at in my hifi dealer. A bloke had bought one in for a check up. The Conrad from Avid was there and try the Diva against it. The bloke ending up buying one and selling his Wilson circle.

I too prefer others for the money.

I would look at the Nottingham/Gyrodek/Diva as good benchmarks for new decks around £1000 to £1500.

That 2nd hand Amazon does look interesting.

the amazon does look nice, but it's to big. i need something more compact, which is part of the reason that the full circle looked interesting. i have for a while also liked the look of the spacedeck..... to be honest i'm still trying to decide whether to upgrade my amp, get an analogue front end, or do nothing at all.... this is the thing that i was tryiong to say in the thread about impulse buys. i line up a few thing that i'm interested in and then smolder on them for a while before finally making an "impulsive" decsion adn buying something. usually the catalyst is one of my objects of desire becoming abailable at a good price.

Very hifi sounding deck, cute but yawn inducing, Well Tempered or the Avid stuff imho.

My Vpi will see off the Full Circle and I would say better your Wadia in many respects. Shameless plug I know but I have heard the wilson next to a Gyro and would take the Gyro anyday. I chose the Vpi over the Gyro.

I've heard the Circle with a Sumiko Pearwood cartridge (so not the Full Circle) - it's a nice, relaxed sounding deck, but agree with others that the Avid Diva is WAY better. Heard one with an OL modded RB300 and it sounded amazing, far more involving than I remember the WB being.
