I currently use an Apple Airport Express to wirelessly stream music to my DAC. However, I have heard it has quite high jitter, and it does throw up some issues with a few DACs.

Is the new Apple TV any improvement for audio?

Are there other solutions? the Arcam DAC has streaming ability, is this tech available separably?

Some dacs seem perfectly fine and others can protest. Might be worth looking on Computer Audiophille or even the Apple forums about the ATV.

I'm out to buy a second AE today for use in another room and thought might go for the ATV - only £20 more.
However I see this re-samples everything at 48kHz and there seem to be using running and booting the device without a TV connected.

So that isn't the answer. Looks like another AE.
