Only had one pizza there. Had the best fillet steak tho.
Even food from the tourist snack vans was good!

It looks pretty impressive, I have never seen that side to Rome before, its one of the view major European cities I haven't managed to visit due to distance and cost. I'll have to visit it one day though.

All in it cost us under 350 quid for flights and hotel, we spent about 600 while there.
Surprisingly cheap for a capital city, eating out was cheaper and better than Bristol. Our last night out we splashed out, 3 course meal, bottle of decent wine, some liquers and coffee's it all came to 76euro (about 52 quid) so very reasonable.
The hotel was basic but very clean.
Getting in to some of the main monuments does cost, but still cheap at around 5euro a ticket. Most expensive was a ticket for the Colleseum, cost 10euro but also gives access to a museum and paletine hill (well worth a walk about)

Sounds a lot cheaper than Paris then, we got charged 8 euros for a 0.5 litre of larger in 2002. It was the slowest drink of my life and the very thought of it made me feel sick. £600 is about what I spent in spain last year, I am not going away this year though becuase I need all my money for moving out, but certainly next year when I am earning I intend to go traveling round Europe for a couple of weeks so Rome will be on my list.

Yeah did it both in 2003 and 2004, in 2003 we got the train to Lodon, then a train to Paris, stayed there a few nights, got the train to Lille, stayed there for a night, then got the train to Amsterdam for a couple of nights then making our way back to Paris.

Last year we just went to Barcelona and Lloret Del Crap.
