 Just when you hope to have found somewhere that doesn't discriminate ........

What is it about insecure men that have to compile 'the case against'. I drive over 100 miles every day and see examples of bad driving, from both genders. Sex has nothing to do with it.

But I can really say I have never seen a fella have so much trouble parking what appears to be a green Micra.:)

That's very true, I think both sexes are equally represented, but I think that bad men and women drivers are bad in different ways. Some (probably most) men are predisposed towards occasional agressive and/or speedy driving, and some women seem to lack 'spacial awareness'. Complete generalisation, but what the hey....

    Funny vid tho' :)

I don't really think that women are generally worse drivers than men and I don't consider myself sexist. I just thought it was funny. If you are genuinely offended I'll delete the thread.

I've been driving nearly 40 years now and the only accidents that I have caused/been in have all occurred whilst I've been reversing. I even bashed in the front wing while going backwards - and yes - I am male!!!

But I did enjoy the vid especially the person filling up or attempting to!

Not offended Dev - just gets very tiresome as many DO believe it.

I have a trophy in my collection that was presented to me by Matt Neal (BTCC Champion) at Donington race track after a full day driving and winning driver of the day. Some of the men there had huge smiles and were really pleased for me, but there was more than one that reacted in a negative way, just because I happen to be a woman.

Some differences are real, male and female brains do differ - generally the area that deals with spacial awareness is better developed in men - that is a fact - it doesn't mean women are bad drivers though. If you are not 100%, you are just more careful. Other differences exist and men obviously have higher levels of testosterone which can lead to them seeing challenges where they haven't been made and reacting by raising to the challenge (hence agression behind the wheel) - but again, those that are aware of this trait can simply remind themselves that driving on the public roads isn't a competitive sport.

I accept men and women are different, sorry if I over reacted, just my hobbies are music and cars (both typically male hobbies) and as a result of this, I see so many mysoginistic (sp?) comments and sadly, many are not said as a joke.

Someone ran straight into the back of me yesterday evening on my way home from work. About four grands worth of damage. She was a very pleasant lady though. ;)

You only have to watch that German lady on Top Gear driving the diesel Jag around Nuremberg to realise all women are not created equal :)
