Some do blame it on the terrifying sound of the South African plastic horns...

I would never do such thing, though I must admit I tend to lose my concentration abilities whenever I'm confronted with a nice pair of 'em.

    I love horns :D

    Regards,

i personally think the moral went out of the window when capelo took away terry's captain's tittle and his arrogance does not help ENGLISH football, bring back robson and an era,

I agree with nando to the extent that Terry is a natural captain, whether morally fitted or not. Rio was never a starter and Gerrard seems happier without that burden - why did he try to cross in the box those two times, once without even looking for an English player. I'm probably making for too much of it but he seems less natural, like he's trying to help his team do well rather than leading from the front which his real talent.

it seams to me the ship is travelling without a captain and the crew have not idea were the horizon is, let's hope that they find it,

I'd disagree, I think an England captain needs to be a role model and I don't think he's a good one.

BTW take a look at this link:-

    Hi,

I agree with Dev on this one. I have my doubts about John Terry. I agree with that article. I find it all a bit strange.

this does not seam to be only an english camp problem, look at france, portugal, spain, etc. the highly payed players have now more say than their coaches and thy are bitching against eachother, anelka got sent home, why i wonder when ordinary people spent their savings to go and support their teams have to be let down by this men that behave worse then spoiled little boys.

Sack the lot of overpaid ***** with huge egos. They need to be reminded that they represent their country, not themselves, if they want to play politics let them stand for elections.

Spain should have scored as many as Portugal, they look good but wasteful.

On the subject of Terry; I think he's a shit, a really cynical player especially for Chelsea. He's a good defender but if he really is trying to manipulate things against Capello then he deserves to be kicked out of the squad. Personally I would have left both him and Lampard out of the squad in the first place, as there's something unpleasant about both of them IMO.

Capello is a good manager for England, it would be a shame if things turned against him.

It wasn't the best display in the world but better than last time - we're past the group and that's a bloody relief!

Terry was good Nando, no complaints with him as a player for England, it's off the pitch he's twat (and anything +ve he does for Chelsea). Lampard? Can't remember him doing anything much in any of Englands last half-dozen matches tbh (including todays - apart from blazing over the bar with a half-decent chance), but in all honesty I get all excited when I watch competitive matches and struggle to remember anything but the goals with much clarity!

Gerrard was ok but not great, Rooney is puzzling; better than last time (!?!?!?!) but so far from his best.

Anyway, we're through, fingers crossed we get better.....
