Im sure he must have put his heart and soul into making it, but $11,000 sounds like a fair chunk given its poor finish, and the budget nature of the sources he has (like the turntable and vintage broken tuner).

Personally if I had that lot, I'd try for around $7,000 (4 grand)
    What do you think?

Hello everyone...I like your comments about my system 4 sale.

Yes...you are right...some of my stuff does not look the best, especially the preamp where I installed the oil caps, and their bottoms stick out over the edge of the chassis a little. The subwoofer however is from Bruce Edgar Horn.

The sound however is the best I have heard...and I have heard many systems. This is not my personal opinion but one of many who have come to visit. Only one I heard costing about $200,000.00 beat it...I went over to hear it thinking that I would not be able to be happy with mine after hearing it, but went away thinking that there was not much diffrence in the sound.

Yes...the system might be a tad close to ugly but is'ent it the sound that matters? No...I did not install thick face plates or chromed chassis. Instead I focused on a basic chassis with parts of the highest quality...silver foil in oil capacitors, Black Gate capicitors, Tantilum film resistors, silver wired, ceramic tube sockets, etc. I built each piece with my 27 years of electronic experience, placing each part in the best place to achieve the best sound. The people who have seen and heard this system never mentioned the looks of it...instead they were amazed with the sound, returning many times with arms full of their favorite music....Thats what matters!

If you notice now...I am taking offers on each piece of equipment.

    Enjoy! http://www.audiosold.com/sale/sale.htm
