WOW, KEF'S NEW LOUDSPEAKERS how much???!!!

    have any of you guys heard this highly price boxes? if so can you please tell me what would you do with £75000.00? sorry but personally i think they are ott, i think that "well" can't think no more as to find the answer as to where the two channel or any hi-fi manufacturer is going in to what direction! bring back amstrad? (sic) very interesting .

    They cost a lot because the cabinets are made by some artist person. They are meant to be seen as art as much as a speaker.

    Good sense of scale (as you'd expect)- the midrange sounded recessed-Not ultra detailed, slightly smeared and muddy sound-Though they were on the end of a load of MF kit at bristol, which could explain what I heard. I didn't think they looked that special.

    Yeah, I heard them at Bristol and was not impressed - I also thought they were FUGLY (and I do like modern art).

    Kef's new Reference series 2 range sounds much better than the original. I heard a pair of the new Ref. 207 and I must say they are good. Currently retails for £11k-£12k depending on finish.

    Yeh, they are a great bargain as well. one less drivers per speaker, boxes made in China and they cost 30%+ more than the old ones, well done KEF.

    Suffice to say i didn't upgrade my 203's
