    Hi chaps,

I'm potentially interested in acquiring any of the following bits & pieces and would be grateful if you could let me know if you're keen on selling your own kit or have seen these for sale elsewhere. Only interested in heavily discounted ex-dem or pre-loved examples. Please don't deluge me with alternatives or question my selections. I've had my current setup for ages and just fancy a change, whether they're up/down/sidegrades:

    Toneararm - SME 309/IV
Phono stage - Rega Ios/Sutherland PhD
SS Preamp - Classé CP-500, Ayre K1, Sony Esprit TA900 (dream on!)
SS Power amp - Classé CP-2200, Krell KSA100
Integrated - any hugely expensive 90's & 00's Jap warships (Accuphase, Marantz, Denon, Sony) class A or AB, ideally with built in phono stages. Less interested in Modern Jap integrateds but will consider things like Denon PMA-SA1, Marantz PM-SA11 and Accuphase E408 etc.
    SACD = Teac DV50/Sony SCD-XA9000ES/Marantz SA11S2
Speakers - Mordaunt Short Performance 6/Anthony Gallo Ref 3

Likewise, if anyone's interested in making me an offer for my stuff, let me know (except cart & TT).

    Thanks,
    DT

well... im getting my accuphase soon... if i dont like it, i'll be sure to let you know hehe

p.s. the marantz SA11S2 is an outstanding player, and only barely behind the SA7S1.. you should be very happy if you can find one of those... Im considering making it my next source purchase.

I've just bought a new tonearm, which means that my SME IV will be up for sale - I bought it new less than 3 years ago, so perfect condition, box, manual, tools etc. How about 700 pounds?

How come all this good stuffs coming out the woodwork when I'm broke!

If DT doesn't want the tonearm, keep me posted FD! I'm sure I can work out something! :)

    (second thoughts scratch that...

I just remembered my other turntables fully suspended, it could look like the sinking of the Bismark)

I'll leave it a week before I start advertising it elsewhere, so you can have third thoughts about it - it works fabulously on a Gyro/Orbe...

The question is whether it's worth £5-700 more than the S1 (or £1,800 at all!). Would prefer a DV50 for £1100 TBH.

Thanks for the offer Nick, but I'd rather stick to Jap Crap on the amp side this time round.

Alright, I've arranged to buy Fen's SME IV. The OL Silver is arguably the weakest link in my system, so it's probably wise to upgrade the arm first.

Any other suggestions/interest on the amp side?

    Thanks,
    DT

    Yamaha AS-2000 integrated amp

I might have a Yamaha AS-2000 integrated amp available very soon... only a few months old, very high spec with superb mm/mc phono stage, fully balanced design, tone controls, excellent headphone output, remote control, 100w/8, 160w/4.

Potentially, yes. Are they the Ref 3 or 3.1? Sub amp included or not?

Heard good things about this amp (and the matching CDP) but really need to aim a little bit higher at this point. Also not mad keen on the looks.

Actually, all bets are off for a while. Just did a very silly thing and dropped a grand on a plasma instead. I haven't owned a TV for two years, so I thought it might be time to refamiliarise myself with the globally important machinations of Albert Square again.

That, and because I couldn't really find anything that got my heart racing hi-fi wise, without spending huge amounts of dosh for very marginal improvements (if any).

    Thanks,
    DT
