Steve, the RA1062 does have preamp outputs (see here (PDF file) for back panel drawing.

I don't know if it has AV bypass/Unity Gain though.  The website doesn't mention it and the link on the site for the 1062 manual is broken so I can't check it.

For a similar price (slightly more) than the Rotel both the Arcam Diva A90 and FMJ A32 have pre-outs and AV bypass.  They're both excellent little amps IMO.
