The governments busily failing to meet agreed carbon emission reductions but what about you? BP have come up with a calculator that estimates your CO2 output.

    mine was 5.2

Interesting... mine comes out as 8. What surprised me about it is that the biggest contributor is my air travel (3.3). After that my car, and less than 2 from my house.

We are doomed... from global warming and rising sea levels

We are doomed... from impending oil and gas shortages

We are doomed... from global economic meltdown

We are doomed... from over-farmed nutrient-deficient soil

We are doomed... from poisoned seas

We are doomed... from the imminent polar shift

So I think we can stop worrying about... carbon

So I think we can stop worrying about... pensions

So I think we can stop worrying about... retirement

So I think we can stop worrying about... anything at all really

Best advice... live for today and enjoy it while you can :MILD:

4 tonnes here, low probably due to being single and a non-driver, but still far higher than I'd have thought.

Living in a city apartment and having most things within reach either by public transport or internet gives me a 3.8 does but that make me feel virtuous? Don't think so but sure makes me wonder if things could made better if some form of fiscal adjustment were to be enacted so as encourage the adoption of a smaller footprint by all.

Anyone see TopGear this week? Trevor Eve was on in the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' bit.

Clarkson was taking the mick cos Eve has a Porsch Cayene, a Bentley and a Toyota Prius, you know, the electric/petrol hybrid, judt to ease his conscience. He's not alone either...

They rattled off a list of Hollywood A list celebs each with a garage full of muscles cars and a Prius to look like they care. So has Prince Charles.

BTW - CO2 was 1.99 until we hit the cars. 25K pa in a big diesel + a small family runabout and some flights on top - 10.48 :(

11 tons!!! Bad boy! Mind you, I assumed UK use, and of course I don't actually live there. And we are 4 adults in a detached house.

(I repeated, assuming I lived in the USA, and the answer was 14 tons).

19 tonnes :( , and that's not including business related air travel... mind you I think the more serious problem to the environment is the staggering volume of methane that my kids produce.

12 tons, even with modern condensing boiler and a fairly eco-aware approach to things...

I blame it on the holiday to South America - that really upped the CO2...

10.86- that'll learn us for running two fiesta's 37,000 miles a year. 8.7 Tons from that.

Perhaps I should rename myself "Tons of Death"
