    necessity is the mother of invention after all

    skills - not just hands on practical, but more mind & lateral thinking - also this is where the real fun starts

    having spent a shit-load on my DIY speakers, I would obviously disagree ! lol

    Makes more sense (to me) to make some ''fake'' £100,000 Wilson Grand Slamm for £3,000 for example than some ''fake'' £1,500 standmounts for £500.... if you ask me....

    but then budgets dictate spend...

    where is the joy in copying? use a design as a basis yes but move it forward

    How much do you think the £100,000 speaker cost to make by the way?

    Real challenge goes something like :-

    with driver in hand, money in pocket £0.75. What do you make the speaker cabinet with?
    answer - wall paper paste & old newspapers to make papier mache (it dries rock hard too.)
